Drew graduated from Lake Superior State University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and completed his Master’s Degree at Webster University in the field of Mental Health Counseling, becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (North Carolina License Number: 12454).
Drew has worked in the mental health field since 2009 serving southeastern North Carolina. He began his career working as a residential counselor at Eckerd Youth Alternatives, a level 3 residential wilderness camp program located in Manson, NC. Drew went on to work with adults at Easter Seals UCP as a QP in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program before moving to Wilmington. Drew was both an Intensive In-Home Qualified Professional and Team Lead with Access Family Services over a period of seven years before transitioning into private practice.
Drew takes a collaborative approach while placing value on rapport and relationship as a catalyst towards forging positive growth. He values self-care and personal empowerment as a mechanism for change and promoting overall wellbeing. Drew utilizes an eclectic base of modalities, including Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, Family-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
