Brittanie is a Wilmington native, receiving both her bachelor’s in psychology and master’s of social work at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She uses a client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to the specific needs of each individual. Brittanie views therapy as a collaborative process between therapist and client that is established by providing a nonjudgmental supportive environment for clients to explore thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, and take steps towards making positive change. Brittanie specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-injury, and couples issues using a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused, acceptance and commitment therapy, and Gottman method couples therapy. She is also a NC board-approved supervisor for LCSW-associates.
