Hayley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2010. She is originally from Kent Island, Maryland and moved to Wilmington in 2006. Hayley received her undergraduate degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Maryland in 2004. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, live music, DIY projects, going to the beach, and cooking.
Hayley enjoys and appreciates the differences in each person, working with people of different ages, genders, races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. She also works with a variety of issues to include depression, anxiety, self-injury, ADHD, anger management, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, infertility, LGBTQ support, Women’s issues, foster care and adoption, among others. Hayley is particularly interested in supporting adolescent females with depressive disorders develop healthy identities.
Hayley practices from a client-centered approach, tailoring treatment to meet individual needs and preferences. Hayley utilizes various treatment modalities to include Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy. She strives to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental, healing environment in which one can safely explore and process thoughts, feelings, and beliefs while working to achieve personal goals.
Hayley also has a certificate in Clinical Supervision and is committed to the Social Work field by supporting provisionally licensed clinicians navigate their new careers.
