Hi! If you're searching for a therapist, chances are you might be struggling with something in your life. I sure hope that whomever you chose to work with helps you feel better, think better, and ultimately process what's happening with refined skills.
I currently specialize in working with adolescents, families (with younger children), and adults. I focus on the treatment of stress-related disorders, school-based problematic behaviors in kids, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I enjoy working with teens and parents of teens who are struggling with identity, self-esteem, and social-related anxieties. I use a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy as well as a reality-based treatment style. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well. I support and am an advocate for LGBTQ families, as well as foster/adoptive families.
I'm a native of the Wilmington area and have worked in mental health for 20 years in various capacities. I value each person's unique journey and the pathways to establish their independence. I'm also a foster parent and enjoy working with foster/adoptive parents in an effort to help create a stable, loving environment for all to thrive.
